OXALIMAX

Description

Oxaliplatin is an advanced platinum compound with a higher degree of safety and tolerability as compared to the older platinum compounds. Its efficacy in colorectal and gastric cancer is well established. Neurotoxicity with oxaliplatin is common but transient. The incidence and severity can be reduced by giving 1 gm magnesium sulphate and 1 gm calcium gluconate both before and after the oxaliplatin infusion.

  • OXALIMAX (Oxaliplatin) is a third-generation platinum compound with a superior toxicity profile as compared to older platinum compounds.
  • OXALIMAX (Oxaliplatin) is the mainstay of chemotherapy in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer along with capecitabine (CAPGET) or 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU GLS)
